Stephen originally posted these pictures on reddit without much of a background. They blew up and people started talking about how horrible the parenting was. Then it was realized that every single one of the pictures was a fake. Stephen posted them with hopes they would gain traction so he could share his story.
During an interview with BuzzFeed News, Stephen spoke about the rare condition his toddler had battled. She had what they call hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) which meant she had no other choice but to get a bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy. All of 4-months-old at the time this began, Hannah got a new lease on life thanks to an anonymous donor, a German lady.
